Little Steel Balls

When I lived in northern Japan, I would walk past these pachinko palors all the time. I never understood the game but they sure did make a lot noise.

Old Portraits

I was looking over some old photos of my mother's family and noticed that the portraits taken back then were so much nicer than what the regular portrait photographers are putting out today. This is my Aunt Mary Lou and I really like the way the photographer posed her and the way the light hits her face giving you a classic light going across her face. The only problem I had with this photo was the paper it was printed on. The paper had a pebble finish and it was not scanned that well by my cousin.

Waiting for Spring

How much longer will this cold weather last. A month ago it looked like my tulips would soon be making their way up and start blooming. So much for global warming.

I guess next week I'll started getting some seeds started inside. Many of my tulips have been moved, so I am curious on how they will do this spring. I like planting my own photographic studies, it is nice to record your efforts and share them with family and friends.

Something about photographing flowers, they're so sensual in nature.

Peace and Love

I'm a child of the 60's and remember the protesting to the Vietnam War. I was too young to do any marching against the war but remember seeing them on the news. I was against going into this war with Iraq knowing it would drag on for years. To all my friends and former students that find themselves in Iraq, be safe.Posted by Picasa
