Bad weather Good photos
I don't take my cameras out in bad weather as much as I used too and I'm not getting some of the more interesting photos that I used to capture. I'm not sure if it is because I fear the digital camera will crap out on me. There is a lot of good to say about the older film cameras. Of course the real reason is I'm getting lazy and getting cold and wet is not a great way to spend the day. The photo of the capital is a photo I did last week on my way to work. I brought my D70 with me knowing that this photo would be waiting for me on my way to work. Only took one shot (fingers got cold)and it was set at the wrong white balance, so ended up with a nice blue photo that kind of looked cool but I still prefer the true color balance, maybe I'll change it.

Why I take photographs
I like it. Since 1975 when I used the high school's Nikon and photographed President Ford in a stop at Evansville, IN I have been hooked. I always saw it as an art with a twist of science and even today with digital photography I love it even more. My favorite photos are of people and when I look at the photographs of people I photographed long ago I wonder how are they doing, did they grow old, do they remember the brief time we spent together.
